Diversity in society essential for our World:
In human life diversity have always existed. Difference among people, race, culture and society is essential on the survival of our world. It s true how the world will be if every individual are similar? How the world will survive with only one race with all the same wants and needs. Differences are what make us special. Different way of thought and thinking process is natural and important. It s what put action and life in our society. This essay will show how society is reflectedin America , A Modest Proposal , Is History a Guide to the Future? and The one Who Walk Away from Omelas . We will see how those works are different and similar at the same time. We will see that we can make some liasons between those work.
In the poems America it s easy to figure out that the society reflected is the American one. It s the American dream. In the poem an American act has an narrator and is talking about how is country is now. How he hides is self and how he lies to himself. They think and want to look like they are the best. If you take a deep look behind her mask and look at it by the inside you realize that the country is full of problems. America is full of problems and filled with lies. It s a dream for other and a nightmare for some. Also the author want to say that there is two class of peoples. (Rich and the poor) If your rich it s like a dream but if your not you live in a nation were you disgusted of it. In America the society is a society of perfection and power. What we do is good and better than the other. It s a kind of self-interst
When we talk about self-interest we can include the short fiction story. The ones who walk away from Omelas and A modest Proposal . Both are example of society of self Interest. In the Ones who walk away. They sacrifice the freedom of one different kid for the hapiness of everyone else. [they will like to do something for the child. But there is nothing they can do. If the child were brought up into the sunlight out of that vile place, if it were cleaned and fed and comforted, that would be a good thing,indeed; but if it were done, in that day and hour all the prosperity and beauty and delight of Omelas would wither and be destroyed. Those are the terms. To exchange all the goodness and grace of every life in Omelas for that single, small improvement: to throw away the hapiness of thousands for the chance of the hapiness of one: that would be to let guilt within the walls indeed.]. There is nothing much to say about this society except that it s a society of self interest and a society who is feared by what is different and about what does not fit in there idea and view of life. The society reflected in A Modest Proposal is also a society of self-interest. This society will sacrifice human life for the good of the whole.[ For Preventing The Children of Poor People in Ireland from Being a Burden to Their Parents or Country and for Making Them Benefical to the Public ]. This is really selfish. Killing babys for survive. What about the right of life for everyone. Also this society is sanding a red light. The guy s who wrote it is screaming for help. He is tired to live in poor condition and to have nothing to eat.
Also a relation can be done with the society in The ones who walk away and Is History a Guide to future . We saw that in the Ones who walk away it was a society who refuses to accept things that doesn t fit in their way of life and thinking. The relation with Is history a Guide to future is the same. In that essay s the society wich is the human being, refuse sometimes to accept what is an evidence simply because it does nt fit with there idea.[ Just as the Germans in 1944 refused to believe the evidence of a landing in Normandy.
