Speakers Written Response
I thought the speech was very hard to understand. For one, the man who talked had a strong accent and it was a lot of information to take in at one time. They gave me the idea that the WTO is bad but I do not know what to think. All that they said makes me want to get involved but I am not just about to protest when I am not fully educated about it. I think it is important to see both sides of the story. Maybe then I will decide to be pro or con. However, maybe I will just end up staying neutral.
Mainly, the two speakers informed us on globalization. The main thing is profit. It is not about human rights, or for what is right in that matter. It is also, about how corporations play a huge role. They sponsor sports and almost everything. It was sad to hear about India. If you go there, you can buy Coke, Pepsi, Spite, etc. everywhere. However, you will not find drinking water anywhere. It is an example of what the WTO has done (taken away the necessities of foreign countries).
