Prejudice, Racism, And The Holocaust Essay, Research Paper

The Holocaust was a tragic point in history that many people believe never happened. Others who survived it thought it should never had happened. Not only did this affect the people who lived through it; it also affected everyone who was connected to those fortunate individuals who survived. The survivors were lucky to have made it but there are times when their memories and flashbacks have made them wish they were the ones who died instead of living with the horrible aftermath.

The question stated “Can prejudice and racism lead to another Holocaust?” Of course it can. History has repeat itself many times. If the world begins a campaign like Hitler for Anti-Semitism, this could lead to segregation between a certain race and the rest of the public. Someone could spread lies over and over again. Once it’s told enough times, people would start believing it like being brainwashed into thinking it’s true.

United States could have a Holocaust. During the Revolutionary War, if the South beat the North, genocide would have occurred to the Negro population since they did not have any Civil Rights Act. During World War II, we mistreated the Japanese-Americans by putting them into camps after thinking they were spies for Japan. In the future, another war might occur and history might repeat itself. If this occurs, a certain race could be put into concentration camps again and another Holocaust might happen. If we keep our world safe and secure, we might be able to stop another mess like world war and prevent genocide from occurring in our country.
