The balls potential energy was high at the top of the ramp, and the balls kinetic energy was low at the top of the ramp. As the ball rolled down the ramp its potential energy decreased and the kinetic energy increased. When the height of the ramp was increased the balls potential energy was higher at the top then it would be at a lower height, because it can get more speed at a higher elevation then a lower one. The kinetic energy was greater on a steeper ramp then on a ramp that wasn?t as steep, since on a steeper one the ball has time to gather speed on it?s way down.
