I don’t know what I feel for certain
I know what I want to feel
But what I want is wrong
I’m reaching for the wrong things
What I know as true is illogical and inane to you
But do I worry about this?
Do I even consider your feelings?
I suppose you already know the answers to these questions
Everyone seems to know the answers
Everyone knows the path I should be heading
Everyone but me
So here I stand before you
Broken and scorched
The brutal battle against myself I am losing
Losing miserably
Some of you may want to help me
But I know you really want
But it doesn’t really matter
I am lost
And you will not find me
For I won’t let you enter or pass through my walls
The walls of my lies and my hate.
