Abortion: the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus: as a: spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first 12 weeks of gestation. In other words, Abortion is killing an embryo or a fetus anytime during the first trimester of (in most cases) an unwanted pregnancy. There has always been a dispute about killing these babies and not giving them a chance at life. It has been called a legal form of murder and protestors against Abortion have voiced their disgust loud and clear. In this day in age, girls can be irresponsible and have sex without using a contraceptive and when they get pregnant, they murder the baby! That is just unacceptable. However it s not as simple as that. That is just one scenario and just one reason for an abortion. How can middle aged couples living in white suburbia relate to a 15-year old girl who lives in the worst part of town and had sex for the first time and also got pregnant? Only people who will never be presented to make the same decision they strongly oppose have called abortion murder. If Abortion was outlawed, this country and maybe this world might corrupt.
Why should young and immature girls have to be forced to live with a mistake for the rest of their life? For example,Jenny gets drunk for the first time in her life at a university frat house. She is only 16 years old and she is there with her two friends who are also drunk. One of the fraternity members slips a strong sedative into her drink. She is so drunk she doesn t even notice the taste. Within minutes she is feeling light headed and she has started to lose focus. The same guy who had slipped the drug in her drink sits down next to her and asks her if she is all right and comments on how beautiful she is. Next he offers to help her by taking her to get some fresh air or maybe a glass of water. By this time she has to be carried because she is unable to walk properly. All she remembers the next day is the bedroom door opening and closing. A week later she finds out she is pregnant and has no idea how to find this guy or what to do. How is she going to tell her mom and dad? Who is she going to take care of her baby? Is she going to have to drop out of school and get a job? After all she does have 7 brothers and sisters and her dad s salary couldn t qualify for middle class by a long shot. How many lives have to be ruined to save one life that hasn t even started forming yet?
What happens if some 30-year-old lady with a family gets raped and then finds out she is pregnant? There might not be one man in this world that would raise that baby. Pregnancy is not always brought about by irresponsibility. Pregnancy might be a result of being na ve or maybe not having any experience in the situation to make the right decision. Pregnancy might be a result of rape or sexual abuse. How can someone argue that these girls should not be given a second chance. How can someone argue that by making one mistake or by being raped that they have no choice but to have that baby? How can someone argue such a thing? How can someone be so ignorant as to look at this issue so one-sidedly?
What happens to that kid who was born because her mommy was raped? After all hypothetically speaking, Abortion is illegal now. So what happens to that kid? He grows up not knowing his father. His mother has had to live with the pain of having this child as a result of malicious attack on her. This child was not born because of love. This child was born because a lunatic raped his mom. One day the kid will find out about the truth, because the pain and guilt in the mother s heart will not allow her to lie to the child any longer. When a child is told that the reason for their existence is rape; that kid will throw any love and compassion he has in his heart out the door. After all it is not in him to feel love, look who his daddy was. This will corrupt that child s mind and they will always feel like they are different and they will feel outcast. They call Abortion murder. Murder hu? Isn t this child s psychological make up the very thing murderers are made of?
So go ahead and ban Abortion. Go ahead. You are forcing mother s to raise kids without fathers. You are contributing to higher taxes because the number of people on welfare will go up. Go Ahead. These kids are going to grow up without a father figure and have a high chance of landing in prison by the time they are 21. Go ahead and ignore the thousands of different scenarios by which a girl gets impregnated. They can afford to ignore that because their ignorance allows them to. While they sit in their 5 bedroom houses and judge what is right and wrong for people who live in the ghetto. These are the irresponsible people not the teenage girls. These people are supposed to be educated and the scary part is they have a right to vote. Ultimately, these are the people who are going to corrupt society.
