Everyone take your homework out from last night said Ms. Foster in her manly like voice. She was barely heard over the commotion of her 4th period class. This noise was normal for it was the period before lunch, listen if you turn it in you get extra-credit All of a sudden the class fell in complete silence, it was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. With satisfaction she went through each row collecting last nights English assignment.
But as I was saying the day had been incredible all from the weather to the girl I had a crush on since the first day of school. She had talked to me that day and I worked up the courage to ask her for her number and astonishingly she gave it me. She was all I ever wanted: smart, beautiful smile (straightest teeth you ve ever seen) and the shiniest blond hair in the world (well as much as I had seen of it anyways). This girl had it all the looks and the brains. Later on I found out that she had kind of had her eye on me too! So that made it even more good of a day.
After lunch I went to my 5th period and I had heard talk about a guy that wanted to beat up this guy after school because he was making fun of him. I took no effort to see that this fight was clearly the beginning of something big and not too good. But I shook off the feeling and went on minding my own business thinking of how I was going to ask for the girl when I call.
As soon as I walked in the room I heard a scream it was the guy that was going to fight, he had a gun. It took me a while to realize that it was pointing directly at me. My first reaction was to turn and run but my fear paralyzed me. All of a sudden I felt that my legs were made out of lead, my heart felt as though it was going to jump out of my chest. Then in a blink of and eye I felt a really hot sensation right on top of my heart- I was shot twice in the heart. Then everything went blank as though the color of the world I was in had been drained out. Slowly I felt as though I was slipping away into a world of quietness and relaxation, I just hoped that I would be able to get home on time to call the girl I had set eyes on since the beginning of the school year.
