Brutus is Persuadable

This report is to prove that Brutus is Persuadable. Persuadable is to be able to have your point of view easily changed. Brutus is Persuaded three times in the play Julius Caesar when he is persuaded to join the conspiracy, when he believes that all the letters are real that tell him the people of Rome want him to be their leader, and when Mark Antony gets Brutus to want to let him speak at the funeral.

The first time that Brutus was persuaded was when Cassius was able to get him to join in on the conspiracy. This shows that Brutus was persuadable because Cassius only had to tell him how he thought that Caesar was not fit to be a leader, and made lied on how that the people of Rome wanted Brutus to be their leader. This was shown in Act I when Cassius had Brutus in a room outside where Caesar was refusing the crown, and he told Brutus the likes about the people wanting him to be their leader.

The second time that Brutus is persuadable is when he gets the letters the Cassius wrote that he signed as being from the people of Rome, saying that they wanted him to be their leader, and he believed that the people wanted him to their leader. This proves that he was persuadable because he never received these letters before, and this is the same night that Cassius told him that the people want him to be their leader. This occurred after he came home from the meeting with Cassius and his servant finds a letters in the window.

The third time that Brutus is persuadable is when he is talking to Mark Antony after Caesar was killed, and Mark Antony is able to persuade Brutus into letting him talk at Caesar’s Funeral, even though the conspiracy almost chose to kill Mark Antony as well. This proves that he is persuadable because he knew that the other people in the conspiracy did not want Mark Antony talking at the funeral.

This report showed that Brutus is persuadable. It showed it when he joined the conspiracy, when he believed the letters, and when he let Mark Antony talk at Caesar’s funeral. The statement of learning is that you must be able to make up your own decisions and not let others make the decisions for you, unlike Brutus throughout the play.
