Like the brown petals of a wilting rose
My own soul withers and dies
Trapped in a placegoing nowhere
It waits for time to demise
My heart aches for a chance to be free
In a way I don’t know how to explain
My whole body restless
Never to be tamed
My mind filled with a burning desire
To roam in an open field
Not held back by the chains of humanity
My imagnation not knowing when to yeild
My very bones filled with the pain of humanity
Aching for the taste of freedom
Other people can roam wild and free
But when will my chance come
