Photo Develop Essay, Research Paper
Before making large prints, a contact print is usually made. This is a sheet of print paper showing a positive of the pictures you have taken. The photographer can then see which pictures he/she would want to develop. A contact print is made by placing a sheet of printing paper on a flat table, while red lights are on, then laying your negatives on top of it. Next a piece of clear glass is placed on top of the sheet and light should be shown on it for at least eight seconds. The exposed print is placed in a tray filled with developer for about one minute, followed by the stop bath, then the fixer for five minutes.
Larger prints can be made by inserting one negative in the enlarger and exposing the paper underneath of it to light. The development process is the same as the contact prints.
