The story is based on a man in the coast guard. He is recalling parts of his past. He talks about how he looks forward to Thanksgiving. He is a cook in the coast guard, and his favorite time of the day is when mail call comes. He talks about the two best business words, ?thank you?.
In any services those words show respect and maturity. Those words make people feel better, and cause the public to show more respect. When a person receives respect, they often give respect to others. Speaking with respect makes me feel like a better person and will help me in the business world. It is courtesy and creates friendship along with it.
The world would be a better place if everyone showed respect and would say ?thank you?. Those words have an immense amount of power behind them, and create a bond. If someone was to come back, or meet the person again, they will automatically give the person a friendly response. People everywhere would be more honest and open. The two words ?thank you? are simple to say, but they have a huge impact on people. Friendship causes peace and courtesy, and friendship for everyone.
