Brad never did wake up on the right side of the bed, he never had a good day in his life. He knew he would be kicking the bucket well before his time. On his 21st birthday he received a card reading:
You will soon be swimming with the fish
Love Grim reaper
At first this white elephant of a gift baffled Brad, but then he soon realized that it was just a reminder that death will be nipping at his heals soon enough. Brad suddenly felt butterflies in his stomach, but immediately told himself to show some backbone and face the music when it comes. He knew he had little time left and wanted something positive to happen before his final goodbye. He knew that something good was bound to happen to him before he would be shipped off to the glue factory. Even the blind squirrel finds his acorn and good things come to those who wait. All he had to do was be at the right place at the right time, especially with his time to near.
Any good that would come his way he was ready to milk it for all it was worth. Brad was prepared to make a mountain out of a mole hill of luck. At first he considered just throwing his money out on something that would satisfy his last days, but then he remembered that money cant buy happiness, especially not the amount of money he had. It was just to bad that money didn t grow on trees.
He knew that he had a snow balls chance in hell of surviving another week, not with the kind of enemies he had. So he decided to adventure, to fly by the seat of his pants.
To make a long story short, he jumped out his 16th story window, and like a deer in headlights he gazed towards the ever nearing cement. Ready to meet his maker.
