Health is a very important element in today’s society. More and more people are beginning to train in bodybuilding to become healthier. Taking pills and going to the doctor are less important than what people can do on their own.

Bodybuilding has many great effects on a person. First, it makes one look better, and feel better both physically and emotionally. Among the millions of people that workout, it has been found that bodybuilding decreases the risk of heart disease, and increases life expectancy. Bodybuilding has also created positive changes in eating habits.

People have begun limiting certain foods they eat, especially those foods with fat. Eating foods with lots of fruits and vegetables is a diet that helps prevent cancer and cardiovascular disease. A drop in smoking has occurred among bodybuilders. Most of those who workout also try not to drink, or drink very little.

Every day, people go through stress. Work at the office, and bumper to bumper traffic are examples of everyday stress. This results in heart attacks, stomach problems, backaches, and an increased sensitivity to pain. Stress can lead to drug and alcohol abuse, and bad eating habits.

Studies have shown that people with social activities have fewer illnesses and live longer lives. Bodybuilding causes one to become interactive with people.

The above paragraphs show many of the great effects bodybuilding has on a person. It is a necessity to workout, and eat properly to maintain a healthy body.
